Spanish starts in Pre-K

The students at Immaculate Conception Elementary School in grades pre-kindergarten through sixth have the opportunity to learn another language, Spanish. Once a week, students meet with the Spanish teacher and begin a program that is cumulative. The program begins with students learning basic greetings, numbers and colors with visual stimuli and songs. The program advances to include vocabulary of animals, classroom objects, family members, etc. In grades fifth and sixth, the program expands student knowledge in preparation for junior high Spanish.
